La Grand Poste, Liège’s creative and digital hub
Present in the province since the end of the 19th century, the old postal sorting has become a real place of life for professionals entering the world of entrepreneurship as well as for the general public and students.
Prelude intervened on two projects of the Grand Poste! Initially, it was for a complete technical study of all the audiovisual installations of a TV studio, two radio studios and several editing studios that the administration of real estate resources at ULiège contacted with Prelude.
With the ever-changing digital world, it can sometimes be difficult to keep up with new trends. As Prelude is an expert in the field of multimedia, it was only natural that the person in charge of this project asked us to take charge of it. Our goal was to create a space that would be ready to accommodate journalism students and that these studios could be rented.
Our work was done in two stages: first, we had to select all the appropriate equipment for the different studios of the Newsroom and secondly, our team had to supervise the site to ensure the good progress of the works.
Secondly, Prelude’s expertise was required on a multi-technical project. La Grand Poste is now equipped with an anti-intrusion system coupled with surveillance cameras inside and outside the building. It is composed of motion detectors and contacts, thus guaranteeing total protection of the place. Each system can be managed by staff members via keypads and remotely.
An IP videophone system has been deployed on the site. This system allows you to call various IP landline telephones to remotely unlock the entrance doors.
This project was an opportunity for Prelude to support our client differently in his project by being a true partner of the various players present on the site as a multimedia design office and systems integrator.
